Four Chaplin's:
Chaplin Bill Graybill will conduct a short memorial service at Georgetown Veterans Home,
paying honor the Four Chaplin's who lost their life during world war ll.
The Four Chaplains, also sometimes referred to as the "Immortal Chaplains," were four United States Army chaplains who gave their lives to save other civilian and military personnel during the sinking of the troop ship USAT Dorchester on February 3, 1943, during World War II.
They helped other soldiers board lifeboats and gave up their own life jackets when the supply ran out.
The chaplains joined arms, said prayers, and sang hymns as they went down with the ship.

Please join Chaplin Graybill, Chapter 649, and the residents of Georgetown Veterans Home,
February 3rd  - 2:00 PM

Recognition Corner : Ed Cole - Chapter 649 - Life Member

Ed has made flag poles for many local area veterans, but he does this with a very unexpected twist.  Ed provides a 20 foot flagpole, with flag / rope & installation.
You submit a name of a friend, whom you would like to see have a flagpole,
and you purchase it for your friend, then that person purchases a flagpole for a friend,
a so on, and so on.  Thus, each flagpole placed, is always a gift, from one veteran to another.
Cost includes, Flagpole / Rope / Flag, and Installation. Price : $ 50.
If you wish to provide a Veteran, Friend, Neighbor, or Loved-One, with a flagpole,
Contact: Ed Cole 513. 625. 0075         Chapter 649 Salutes Ed Cole
